Research in RFID and mobile technologies

Staffordshire University Staffordshire University

Chapman-Nix is sponsoring a year-long Masters degree (MRes) project in the fields of RFID and mobile technologies in partnership with Staffordshire University, located in Stafford, UK.

The objectives of the project include:

  • conduct research with third-party software suppliers and technical innovators;
  • liaise with carefully selected hotel and leisure market leaders to identify unique uses for RFID and mobile technologies;
  • create 2-3 scholarly papers for publishing in academic or trade journals; and
  • convert research studies into 2-3 viable, innovative commercial applications using RFID and mobile technologies in the hospitality and leisure sectors.

We are seeking technology partners, focus group participants and potential pilot sites who will benefit from the research through tangible gains in productivity, cost-cutting and revenue-enhancing outputs. Additionally, participants will be cited in all papers published and in electronic media for PR purposes (with permission, of course).

If you are interested in learning more about the project or if you'd like to get involved, please contact Dale Nix on +44 7834 533367 or via email dale.nix@chapman-nix.com for more information.
